Our Identity
We are an ordinary group of forgiven sinners united together by Jesus.
Jesus says, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28–30)
Our Mission
We want to play our part in making disciples of Jesus in Melton Mowbray and around the world.
Jesus says, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to be. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:18-20a)
Our Values
The Bible
We love to hear what God says in his word, the Bible.
We want to grow in knowing God as we learn together.
“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed – indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:41-42)
Our Values
The Gospel
We are amazed by the good news of what God has done to save us.
We want to be transformed by the gospel and to share the gospel with others.
‘For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.’ (John 3:16)
Our Values
One Another
We seek to love one another, as Christ has loved us.
We want to grow in serving each other and caring for each other.
‘A new command I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.’ (John 13:34)
Our Focus
We seek to do all these things by God’s grace, for God’s glory, and dependent upon God in prayer.
‘Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labour in vain.’ (Psalm 127:1)
